Website column background

Hi, I’m Peta Hooke.

I live with Cerebral Palsy, and for most of my life I have been asked the same questions by strangers who are curious but unsure how to talk about disability.

I created The I Can’t Stand Podcast to answer those questions properly. Not through simplified explanations or inspiration, but through real conversations grounded in lived experience, exploring disability across everyday life, work, relationships, identity, culture, and representation.

This podcast is for anyone who wants a more honest understanding of disability.
